Two soldiers killed in PKK attack in southeastern Turkey

Two soldiers were killed and three were wounded when a hand-made explosive laid on the ground was detonated by outlawed Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) militants in the Derik district of the southeastern province of Mardin on June 29.Sources said the explosive was detonated as an armored military vehicle was passing through a road close to the district’s Denktaş village.
The wounded soldiers were taken to a nearby hospital.
