Two migrant children killed off Turkey’s Mediterranean coast

Two migrant children were found dead on Dec. 15 after a migrant dinghy sank off Antalya’s Kaş coast.

Turkish coast guards were deployed to the Sarıada coast early Dec. 15 upon a notice that a migrant dinghy had drifted, according to the Antalya Governor’s Office.

A four-year-old toddler and a man in his twenties were transferred to Kaş State Hospital after initial treatment in the boat.

In the rescue, another migrant girl was rescued, while two other migrant girls, seven- and eleven-years-old respectively, were found dead.

Coast Guards brought some 18 migrants to the Kaş Port.

In addition, rescue efforts to search for three missing migrants in the sea have been ongoing, according to the rescued migrants.
