Two bids for finance center work

Two joint ventures placed bids yesterday for the infrastructure and superstructure works for a planned finance center on Istanbul’s Asian side. A joint venture bid from Ege Yapı Limited, Maymetropol Yapı İnşaat and Emlak Pazarlama totaled 1 billion Turkish Liras plus value added tax (VAT) while a bid from a joint venture that included GAP İnşaat Yatırım and Dış Ticaret 1.15 billion liras plus VAT. Varyap Varlıbaş İnşaat and Torunlar GYO did not place bids in the tender.The officials will call on the two ventures for a second round of talks after inspecting their files. The tender included the construction of educational facilities, roads and landscaping, a management block, health center, firehouse, police stations, religious facilities to accommodate thousands of people, and a connecting bridge.
