Hurriyet Daily News with wires
One Turkish soldier was killed and another was injured in clashes between the military and PKK terrorists in the Dicle district of the Diyarbakir province.
News agencies earlier reported that four soldiers had been injured in the clashes in Dicle late Wednesday; however, it is unclear whether the latest casualties are the results of these clashes.
The PKK, which launches cross-border attacks on Turkey from bases in northern Iraq, is listed as a terrorist group by Turkey and much of the international community, including the EU and the United States.
