Turkish president visits the All Arts fair with his wife

President Abdullah Gül and his wife, Hayrünnisa Gül, visited the AllArts Modern and Traditional arts fair in Istanbul on April 20.

Gül and his wife were accompanied by European Union Minister Egemen Bağış. Gül, his wife and fair consultant Bülent Kahraman visited the fair with organizer Ali Güreli. Güreli and Kahraman gave detailed information about the works at the fair.

Gül said the fair had carried traditional arts to a new platform and that this would start a new era for the arts scene. Noting that he believed the fair would draw more visitors from abroad in the coming years, Gül said Ottoman arts would enter a new era.

Special collections of the fair


The president visited the modern and traditional parts of the fair and took information from the exclusive collections.

The AllArts Istanbul fair welcomed a total of 8,500 visitors to its preview and opening day. Earlier, Minister Egemen Bağış held a cocktail party for participants and the art lovers of at the All Arts Fair in Istanbul at which he said Istanbul had become a global art hub, and was becoming an international cultural capital.
