Turkish PM named second most influential Muslim in the world

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Islamic scholar Fethullah Gülen have placed among the top 10 on The World's Most Influential Muslims list, prepared by The Royal Islamic Strategic Studies Centre, daily Hürriyet has reported.

Erdoğan was listed second and Gülen came in 10th on this year’s list of the most influential Muslims in the world. Saudi King Abdullah bin Abdul-Aziz Al took the top spot on the list.

Last year Erdoğan was ranked third on the list and Gülen was 15th with Turkish President Abdullah Gül coming in at 27.

The list is prepared annually by The Royal Islamic Strategic Studies Centre.
