Turkish Foreign Ministry spokesman Bilgiç hands over post to Müftüoğlu

In a structural change at the Foreign Ministry’s general directorate of press and information, two deputies for spokesperson will be assigned. One of them will be responsible for public diplomacy activities.
Speaking at the handover ceremony on Nov. 7, Müftüoğlu said he was excited to perform this duty, especially “at such an important time.”
Müftüoğlu said he had been in close contact with the media ever since 1990, when he first entered the Foreign Ministry.
Graduated from Ankara University and the London School of Economics, Müftüoğlu is particularly known as an expert on the issue of Cyprus.
