Turkish films go to Sofia

Turkey’s Culture and Tourism Ministry is collaborating with the Turkish Embassy to Sofia to organize three Turkish film days.The event opened Nov. 29 with a reception at the Arena Cinema Center. Film Producers’ Association President Galip Gültekin attended the opening while a number of Turkish actors and actresses, including Burcu Kara, Janset Paçal and Bora Aktaş, also attended the gala.
Four of the movies were screened at the event for the first time in Bulgaria, including “White Angel” by Turkish director Mahsun Kırmızıgül; “State Matter,” the winner of the Best Movie Award at the 2008 Houston International Cinema Festival, “Romantic Comedy;” as well as 2010 Moscow Film Festival winner “From The Sea.”
The cinema event ends today.
