Turkish exports to African countries up

Turkish exports to Africa are up 44 percent in the first six months of 2012.
Turkish exports to African countries increased 44 percent in the first six months of 2012 when compared to the same period of 2011.According to the figures released by the Turkey Exporters’ Assembly (TIM), exports to European Union (EU) countries in the same period dropped nine percent.
Turkey exported products worth $29.2 billion to EU countries and $13.4 billion to the Middle East
in the first six months of 2012. Exports to EU countries in the same period of 2011 were $31.8 billion.
$6.9 bln in exports
Turkey exported products worth $4.8 billion to African countries in the first half of 2011 and this figure
increased to $6.9 billion in the same period of 2012, according to the TİM data.
