Turkish energy minister arrives in Turkmenistan

Yıldız says his meetings in Turkmenistan focus on energy needs of Turkey and EU.
Turkish Energy and Natural Resources Minister Taner Yildiz arrived in Ashkabad, Turkmenistan yesterday.Yıldız held a short meeting with Turkmen Minister of Oil and Gas Industry and Mineral Resources Kakageldi Abdyllayew at the airport, where he told journalists that his meetings would focus on Turkmenistan’s contributions in energy structuring as well as the natural gas needs of Turkey and EU member states.
Yıldız said they would hold a quadruple meeting today with the participation of Turkmen, Azerbaijani, Turkish and EU officials.
Yıldız’s schedule for yesterday included meetings with Turkmenistan’s Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers for Oil and Gas Baymyrat Hojamuhammedow, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers for Energy-Sector Work with Foreign Firms Yagsygeldi Kakayew, and Minister of Oil and Gas Industry and Mineral Resources Kakageldi Abdyllayew.
Turkmen leader Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow is expected to receive Yıldız today.
