Turkish culture displayed in Thailand via music, dance and fashion show
BANGKOK
Turkish culture was displayed to Thai people with an event called “Turkey’s Colors” in capital Bangkok on Nov. 21.
Within the scope of “Turkey-Thailand Culture Year,” Turkey’s Culture and Tourism Ministry-organized event that showcased the country’s dance, music and fashion to Thai people.
Speaking to state-run Anadolu Agency, Turkish Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Ahmet Haluk Dursun said Turkey would like to hold such events to contribute to the political, economic and social relations between the two countries.
An Ottoman janissary band, a Turkish folklore group and whirling dervishes performed at the event.
Dursun said activities will follow until the end of November.
