Within the scope of the Turkish Year in China, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s famous work “Abduction from Seraglio” was staged in Beijing by the Turkish Opera and Ballet artists on May 1.The opera, which was staged at the Chinese National Theater on Tiananmen Square, drew great interest from Chinese audiences. Four languages including Turkish, German, English and Chinese were used in the opera, performed by 140 artists. “Abduction from the Seraglio” is the first opera Mozart wrote in Vienna.
