Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is scheduled to meet with his Jordanian counterpart Awn Khasawneh in Istanbul this weekend for talks expected to focus on the Arab Spring, particularly the turmoil in Syria. Khasawneh was expected to arrive in Turkey late Dec. 16 and meet with Erdoğan “most probably” on Dec. 18, Prime Ministry sources said. The sources said Erdoğan would spend the weekend in Istanbul after he stayed two days in Ankara chairing meetings of the Supreme Military Council and the Cabinet, ending a three-week absence following intestinal surgery. It is not immediately clear when the prime minister will go back to Ankara again, they said. “I am well and I will get better,” Erdoğan told reporters late Dec. 15. k HDN
