Turkish-American Business Association names new president
ISTANBUL
Gürçay, who was elected unanimously in the general board meeting, will hold the position for the next two years, the organization said in a written statement.
The association, which was founded in 1987, also acts as the American Chamber of Commerce Turkey, according to its website.
The Ambassador of the United States to Turkey, the Consul General of the U.S. and the Undersecretary of Commerce and official representative of U.S. Chamber of Commerce are honorary members of the TABA/AmCham Board.
Gürçay was born in Istanbul in 1977. Prior to joining Motorola, he worked as a general manager at Brother Industries and a regional sales coordinator at IBM Turkey. He has more than 12 years of experiences in the information technologies.
