Turkish Airlines to begin direct flights to Argentina

Turkey’s national air carrier Turkish Airlines (THY), the fourth largest flight network in the world, will launch its direct flights to Argentina in two years.THY Director General Temel Kotil heralded the good news after THY and the Tourism Ministry of Argentina have signed a good-will agreement at the General Directorate building of the airlines company.
“THY will begin direct flights between Turkey and Argentina in two years with two flights in a day,” he said.
High tourism potential
The agreement penned by Kotil and Argentinean Tourism Minister Enrique Meyer aimed at developing bilateral relationships on the transportation and promotion axis, which entails the Argentinean ministry’s inclusion of THY’s operations in its promotional activities and THY presenting to its passenger Argentina in every aspect.
The distance between Argentina and Turkey is long but THY flights will bring them closer, Kotil was reported as saying in a statement released after the ceremony.
Meyer highlighted that the number of tourists who arrived in Argentina from Turkey increased by 9 percent while the number of flights from Turkey to Argentina jumped by a quarter.
