Turkish Airlines has announced it began providing high-speed Wi-Fi broadband Internet access onboard its trans-Atlantic flights today. The high-speed connection comes as an addition to the already existing PLANET in-flight live television service used in trans-Atlantic flights, as a result of work conducted with Panasonic Avionics Corporation.
Passengers will now be able to access unlimited Internet through their laptops, tablets, smart-phones and any other WLAN-enabled device. The service will be initially provided free of charge as an introductory offer, the announcement said.
After the introductory period expires, passengers will be able to access the on-board Wi-Fi service via an access code, available for credit card purchase.
