Turkey’s TAV begins to run food, beverage services in Zagreb airport

ISTANBUL
Turkey’s TAV Airports has said that one of its subsidiaries, BTA, began operating food and beverage services and inflight catering services at the Zagreb International Airport in Croatia as of Aug. 1.

The company noted that BTA would undertake these operations for 13 years, in a written statement to the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP) on Aug. 1.

“General services will be provided in a total of 16 points at the airport. The inflight catering services will be offered to roughly 90 airline companies, including Croatia’s flag carrier, Croatia Airlines,” said the company.

TAV Airports has a 15 percent stake in a consortium which has been operating the airport since 2013.

The consortium has the following members: Aeroports de Paris Management (ADPM), Bouygues Batiment International (BBI), TAV Airports, Viadukt (a Croatian construction company), Marguerite Fund and IFC, a member of the World Bank Group, according to the company website.

The annual passenger capacity of the Zagreb Airport reached 2.6 million in 2015 and is planned to increase 8 million by 2017 after the completion of the new passenger terminal, according to the KAP statement.
