Turkey wins 11 medals in Down Syndrome championships

Turkey won 11 medals in the World Down Syndrome Championships in Madeira, Portugal.
Turkish athletes won three gold, three silver, and five bronze medals.
The championship was held on Oct. 2-7 with competitions in athletics, table tennis, and basketball.
Turkish medalists are as follows:
Athletics
Ali Topaloğlu: 100-meter (gold), shot put (gold), discus throw (silver) and 400-m (silver)
Dilara Çevik: Discus throw (gold), shot put (bronze), 400-m (bronze), 100-m (bronze)
Merve Uzun: Long jump (bronze)
Table tennis
Women's doubles: Merve Peker-Benay Balci (silver)
Men's doubles: Erman Cetiner-Enes Yilmaz (silver)
