Turkey to establish special courts in finance, other sectors: PM Yıldırım

ANKARA
New specialized courts will be established to deal with financial and information technology cases, Prime Minister Binali Yıldırım has said, outlining planned reforms “to boost Turkey’s economy.”
“Specialized courts will be established in several sectors, including finance and information technology, to speed up rulings in such cases. We will also accelerate the Istanbul Finance Center project both legally and physically,” Yıldırım said on Oct. 4 while revealing the government’s new economic program.

“Shortening trial periods is one of our key targets,” he added.

Yıldırım also said Turkey’s notary system will be reregulated in compliance with EU standards and a new patent law will be introduced soon.
