Turkey sees fall in unemployment in April

Unemployment took a fall in Turkey in April, the Turkish Statistics Institute (TÜİK) said on July 15.The unemployment rate dropped to 9.3 percent, from 9.6 percent in April last year, and also fell month-on-month from 10.1 percent in March, according to the TÜİK data.
The report said 27,638,000 people were employed in April from a potential labor force of 30,462,000.
It also showed that youth unemployment fell by one percentage point year-on-year.
