Turkey is examining an offer from Russia’s ZAO Atomstroyexport to build the country’s first nuclear plant, Energy Minister Taner Yıldız said May 6.

"I’m an optimist, I think it will take a month or two" to negotiate a price for the plant, said Shmatko, a former chief executive officer of Atomstroyexport .

Construction of the first two blocks of the plant would likely take between 8 and 10 years, Shmatko said.
