Turkey: Foreign investment hit $3.39 billion in July

Foreign direct investment (FDI) in Turkey reached $3.39 billion in July, according to a report from the Ministry of Economy on Sept. 30.From January to July, FDI inflows were $9.71 billion, said the report.
Net foreign capital inflow was $7.4 billion in the first seven months of the year.
Investment from EU countries constituted 63 percent of the overall amount and 24 percent came from Asian economies.
In July, some 139 companies were started in Turkey with foreign investment and 11 domestic companies made foreign partnerships.
During the January-July period, some 2,534 foreign-owned companies or their branches were established in Turkey, while 104 Turkish-owned companies became partners with foreign companies.
