Turkey faces 2 tough years ahead: TOBB

Turkey is facing “two tough years ahead,” according to Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey

(TOBB) Chairman Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, who urged “unity” to overcome the risks of political segregation.

“Local, presidential and general elections are ahead. We can add the ongoing peace process, the Constitution preparation process and the problems in Turkey’s neighboring Iraq, Syria and Egypt to this quotation, as well as the Armenian issue in 2015,” Hisarcıklıoğlu said during a meeting in the Aegean province of Manisa.

“If Turkey can resolve these problems by 2015, nobody can stop it,” he noted, adding that the TOBB would need to play big role in this process.

“We, as the members of TOBB, are just like the cement of society. The TOBB has members from all segments,” he said.
