Traveling exhibition now arrives in Istanbul gallery

The international traveling exhibit “Book of Friends: A Jewel of Friendship in a Terrified World,” which presents works by 21 artists from 14 countries, opened yesterday at the Dolmabahçe Palace art gallery, the last stop on its tour through Europe and America.

The exhibition showcases a variety of art including calligraphy and classic Islamic art. The exhibition will continue until Oct. 30. Artists from Germany, the United States, Austria, Australia, France, the
Netherlands, Italy, Japan, Brazil, Belgium, Canada, Sweden, Switzerland and Turkey will be in attendance.
The exhibition was created by Tom Leech, calligrapher and director of the Palace of Governors Museum in Santa Fe, New Mexico, in the United States.
