Trabzonspor secure first spot in Europa League group with 0-0 draw at Lazio

Trabzonspor secured the first place of its Europa League Group following a goalless draw in Rome against Lazio Dec. 12.The Black Sea Storm complete an almost flawless run, finishing Group J unbeaten with 14 points to advance the round of 32 in the second-tier European club competition. Lazio also qualified to the knockout rounds, taking the second place ahead of the Greek Cypriots of Apollon Limassol and the Poles of Legia Warsaw.
The 24 teams through to the last 32 from the groups stage will be joined by the eight third-placed teams from the UEFA Champions League group stage.
The last 32 pairings will be determined by an open draw in Nyon on Dec. 16.
