TOBB to open faculty in Diyarbakır next year

The Turkish Union of Chambers and Commodities Exchanges (TOBB) will open a second faculty of its TOBB Economy and Technology University in Diyarbakır in southeastern Turkey, said TOBB President Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu at a meeting over the weekend. This will be Diyarbakır’s second university.The location and the bureaucratic procedures for the opening of the faculty have been completed. The university will be built at an old medical faculty, which is a historic 4.260 square meter building.
Hiscarcıklıoğlu and head of Parliament Cemil Çiçek are expected to visit the the location, according to newsportal Söz.
Meanwhile, the university is expected to open its doors as soon as the 2012-2013 academic year, according to Diyarbakır Chamber of Industry and Trade Head Remzi Can.
