THY passengers up 18 pct

Turkish Airlines has increased its number of passengers flown by 18.7 percent in the first four months of 2012, reaching 11.1 million passengers, according to an announcement made to the Istanbul Stock Exchange.The national carrier also increased the number of its international business, comfort class and international transfer passengers by 51.5 percent and 41.4 percent compared to January-April 2011. The airline’s passenger fullness rates have also increased by 5.7 percent to hit 73.9 percent in the aforementioned period.
