Babylon opens its new season tonight with British indie rock band The Maccabees. The concert starts at 9:30 p.m. and tickets are available at the club’s ticket booth. After the release of their much acclaimed debut, The Maccabees toured with Bloc Party in the U.S. and performed in many international festivals. With support from BBC Radio 1’s Steve Lamacq, The Maccabees released their second album “Wall of Arms’’ in 2009, picked as “the album of the year” by Artrocker Magazine. Collaborating with a variety of artists like Roots Manuva, The Maccabees are also a NME magazine favorite. They also toured with The Drums, The Big Pink and Bombay Bicycle Club in 2010 as part of the Shockwaves NME Awards tour. The Maccabees will be at Babylon with a solid performance for guitar music lovers.
