Syrian regime preparing for assault on Aleppo: Erdoğan

The regime of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad is in preparations to assault the city of Aleppo, Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said today in London.

"The regime is getting ready to mount an attack on central Aleppo with tanks and helicopters," Erdoğan said.

 "We do not yet know what will happen today. I am in continuous contact [with relevant officials]," he said.

Erdoğan also said he hoped the "Syrian regime would get the necessary answer in Aleppo from the real sons of Syria."
