Syria issues tender for 200,000 tons of wheat

Bids must be in by April 6, Hoboob’s manager of public affairs, Youssef Kasem, said yesterday. He declined to say whether the wheat is for the country’s reserves or immediate consumption. Hoboob has sent teams to Russia and Ukraine to monitor wheat imports contracted earlier, Kasem said.
