Suicide bomb attack in Turkey's Bursa wounds 13

A woman suicide bomber detonated herself on April 27 in the Marmara province of Bursa, wounding thirteen people, according to officials.

The attack occurred at around 5.25 p.m. near the Ulu Cami, a mosque which is at the center of the province.
“According to initial examinations, seven people were wounded and transferred to nearby health institutions,” The Bursa Governor’s Office has stated.

It also added that examinations of the security forces on the attack were ongoing. Firefighters and health teams were deployed to the scene following the attack as shops nearby were damaged.

Health Minister Mehmet Müezzinoğlu said that thirteen people were wounded in the attack and their condition was not critical.

Turkey has faced consecutive suicide bomb attack organized by the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) and the outlawed Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) in recent months.

Two suicide bombers detonated themselves on 10:04 a.m. on Oct. 10, 2015 in front of the Ankara main train station, where thousands of people had gathered for a peace rally a few weeks before the snap election
 on Nov. 1. This was the largest terror attack in Turkey’s history. ISIL hit Istanbul’s historic Sultanahmet Square on Jan. 12, touristic İstiklal Avenue on March 19.
