Spiral Quartet takes the stage with ‘Paristanbul’
ISTANBUL - Hürriyet Daily News
Spiral Quartet’s raison d’etre is to keep a perfect beat, enjoy the richness in melodies and make good music. The founder of the ensemble, Philippe Poussard, splits his time between Paris and Istanbul, and the ensemble itself draws inspiration from the sonic worlds of both of these cultural centers. The Spiral Quartet embraces Turkish folk music as much as jazz, and proves once more how modern jazz can be nourished by folk music. The ensemble will present the audience at the Borusan Music House with the best of its repertoire, uniquely interpreted. Tickets cost 20 to 25 Turkish Liras.
