The Shark World Exhibition, which is being presented all around the world in an effort to draw attention to sharks facing extinction, opened Nov. 27 at Istanbul’s Trump Towers Mall.Istanbul Governor Huseyin Avni Mutlu expressed his hope the exhibition would draw many visitors. “I have learned that the exhibition was visited by some 20 million people in the United States. It is also educational for our children,” he said.
“Every creature is valuable for me and they should be protected,” Mutlu said when asked about sharks’ reputations as hunters.
Doğan Holding Executive Board Vice Chair Hanzade Doğan Boyner, Istanbul Museum and Exhibition Management Consltancy A.Ş. Chairman Kemal Gürkaynak were among the other attendees of the exhibit’s opening.
The exhibition will continue through the end of February 2013.
