Rick Santorum celebrated victory yesterday after capturing the southern U.S. state of Louisiana in a largely symbolic win that won’t dent rival Mitt
Romney’s commanding lead in the race for the Republican presidential nod. The race was called after the former Pennsylvania senator established a strong 50-percent lead, with Romney trailing far behind with 26 percent of the vote. Former House speaker Newt Gingrich was third with 16 percent of the ballot and Texas Representative Ron Paul had six percent.
