Round 8 of Turkish Airlines EuroLeague gets underway

The eighth round of the 2018-19 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague regular season kicked off on Nov. 20.
In the first match, Turkey’s Anadolu Efes beat Israel’s Maccabi Fox Tel Aviv 90-77 at home in Istanbul.
Two Turkish sides also met in Istanbul, with last year’s EuroLeague finalist Fenerbahçe defeating Darüşşsafaka Tekfen 100-79.
Fenerbahçe is currently in third place and Anadolu Efes fourth while Darüşşsafaka Tekfen is at the bottom in 16th place in the EuroLeague standings.

Sixteen teams are competing this season - four Spanish, three Turkish, two Russian, two Greek and one team each from Germany, Italy, Israel, Lithuania and Montenegro.
Turkey is in the tournament with Fenerbahçe, Anadolu Efes and Darüşşsafaka.
