Rich anatolian culture reflected in UK show

The exhibtion of academic Evren Daşdağ reflects Anatolia with ceramics.

Fresh from the success of her first exhibition, The Memory of the Walls, at Dicle University’s Congress Center, Turkish academic Evren Daşdağ is hosting her second ceramics exhibition, Inspiration of Anatolia, in England’s Leicester city where she works as a guest academic at the De Montfort University.

Promoting Anatolian culture with ceramics
Daşdağ aims to promote the rich Anatolian culture in England via her exhibition, she told Anatolia news agency. “Five months ago I had made my first exhibition, which consisted of ceramic artifacts. I have used Anatolian motifs and patterns in my works. I have tried to reflect the patterns on the walls,” said Daşdağ. For work in the Inspiration of Anatolia exhibition Daşdağ once again used patterns that have 12,000 years of history.

The exhibition will open in the Trinity House Art Gallery.

Daşdağ uses the Hittite sun and Seljuk star and also tulips, which reflect the Anatolian culture. “I have tried to reflect Anatolia’s rich culture on ceramics,” she said about her work.

The exhibition will be open until September 17.
