Report ‘cannot identify’ policemen in beating

An inspectors’ report has said it “cannot identify” the police officers who beat three Gezi Park protesters in Antalya on June 2.The security camera footage shot in a closed parking lot belonging to Antalya Municipality shows that three university students were beaten by 17 police officers, and were not detained or taken to a police station after the incident.
Two inspectors were given the task of preparing a report on the issue by the Police Department, but the officers who beat the three students cannot be identified according to the unfinished report.
The report said the area was too dark and the quality of the security camera footage was very low. The footage may now be sent to Ankara’s criminal police laboratory for further investigation.
