Reform Monitoring Group for EU reforms replayed with Action Group

The first meeting of Reform Action Group, previously called the Reform Monitoring Group, will gather on Nov. 8 to focus on reforms as part of Turkey’s accession process to the European Union.“From now on, the group will not only monitor political reforms, but also prepare reform draft bills and will play an active role in adoption by Parliament and in process in implementation,” a statement by EU Ministry said on Nov. 7.
The group will assess progress in EU negotiation chapters of 23 and 27 and discuss issues that could be considered primarily in the upcoming days with regard to current affairs, read the statement.
The latest meeting, composed of EU minister, foreign minister, interior minister and justice minister, was held in late July before forming the new Cabinet under Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu after the presidential election.
