Prison runaways caught sleeping by Manisa road in Turkey’s west

Two runaways who had escaped from a prison in the western Turkish province of Manisa have been found by the local gendarmerie units sleeping near a road, Doğan News Agency reported on Feb. 28.
The units, who were patrolling in the area, initially found a motorbike on the road before noticing the fugitives sleeping close by in a forested area.
The suspects, reportedly both 27 years old, were detained after the authorities determined they had fled prison, were they were being held pending trial on 15 different charges.
The duo was then taken to court and sent back to prison from there.
