Portal picks Akbank ‘best bank in Turkey’

Turkish lender Akbank has been selected “the best bank in Turkey” by Global Banking and Finance Review 2012 for the second time in row, the magazine said yesterday.Akbank was awarded the title for its “sustainable high growth performance, modern corporate management principles, social responsibility projects and its leading role for the Turkish banking sector.”
“The successful strategy of Akbank is a case study at Harvard, one of the leading universities in the world. And we are the most valuable banking brand in Turkey,” the magazine quoted Hakan Binbaşgil, Akbank’s director general, as saying.
