Turkish police launched an operation on May 18 against a prostitution ring notorious for swinger parties, detaining dozens in locations across southern Turkey.

Security forces raided a luxury villa in the Sarıçam district of Adana province, along with 25 different addresses in the neighboring Mersin, Kayseri, Osmaniye and Şanlıurfa provinces, and detained 53 suspects including the ringleader couple.

Some 32 suspects were released after giving testimony, while the others were sent to the court.

Three months ago, the Adana Vice Police Department started to monitor a young couple who were allegedly reaching people on social media to prostitute for money. The investigation later revealed that the couple had rented a luxury villa in the Sarıçam district of Adana, where they organized swinger parties for married couples living in the neighboring cities.

The young couple allegedly first connected couples on social media to live out their fantasies before arranging women for single men, as well as the married couples, in the villa.

The suspects claim that they were not aware of money changing hands, assuming that the young couple was simply organizing legal swinger parties.

However, a married woman, who was later released, said she accepted payment to take part as her father needed money.
