Police bus accident in Istanbul injures 12 officers

A police bus rolled over due to fog this morning on the TEM motorway in Şişli’s Maslak neighborhood, injuring 12 officers, two of them seriously.
 
The policemen were taken to local hospitals by their co-workers after the accident, which occurred on the approach to the Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge.

Heavy fog, which has covered Istanbul since yesterday evening, appeared to cause the accident.
 
Two lanes of traffic heading in the direction of Ankara were closed after the accident.

Meanwhile, a multiple-car accident also occurred this morning on the Basın Ekspres İkitelli-Başakşehir route, resulting in the closure of one lane of traffic.

Istanbul City Lines, a municipal ferry service, canceled routes this morning due to the heavy fog, while air traffic was also affected by the weather.
