The outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) recently released footage of hostages that were captured several months ago, daily Milliyet reported today.

Three soldiers, one police officer and one district governor candidate have been held hostage by the PKK for nearly seven months.

The hostages said they were healthy in the footage.

All hostages were taken between the months of June and October 2011.

Thirteen soldiers were killed in a previous attempt to rescue the hostages; security forces tried again last week but failed.
