PKK militants set fire to construction vehicles in eastern Turkey

Militants of the outlawed Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) raided a construction site in the eastern province of Elazığ yesterday evening, setting fire to a number of construction vehicles.The construction site, located in rural Arındık village in Elazığ’s Palu district, was where renovations on railway tracks between Elazığ and Bingöl were being carried out. The militants caused severe damage to vehicles at the site, setting fire to three concrete mixers and a truck. Immediately following the incident, security forces began an operation in search of the militants.
