Patriarch visits church in Alanya

Greek Orthodox Patriarch Bartholomew has visited Hıdırellez Church at the Alanya Tower July 17, and also met with Alanya Mayor Hasan Sipahioğlu.

Representatives of the patriarchate also gathered information about the Alanya area and the churches in the district.

As Patriarch Bartholomew left the church, Anjelika Anzhela, a representative of Alanya’s Russian speaking people community, told him that Russians in the area would like his support to open a church at Alanya.
“I wish happy Alanya a happy Ramadan. Alanya is a beautiful place and it attracts many tourists,” the Patriarch said and then he left Alanya.
