Ottoman artifacts to be put up for auction

The Ottoman palace artifacts will be auctioned by the Asar-ı Antika Gallery

Asar-ı Antika Art Gallery in Istanbul will hold its 19th auction on Nov. 29 at the Conrad Istanbul Hotel. 

Ottoman palace artifacts, Turkish ceramics, rare examples of the Ottoman calligraphy art as well as classical paintings, tombak pieces and ancient artifacts owned by renowned families will be put  on sale at the auction.
 
Among the artifacts will be Şeker Ahmet Paşa’s oil portrait on cardboard. The opening price for the painting is 350,000 Turkish Liras. A dinner set of 48 pieces, each of which has a 24-carat relief, will be offered for sale with an opening price of 80,000 liras. The set was produced using French Limoges porcelain for Sultan Abdul Hamid II. A warrant with the signature of Sultan Suleiman I (also known as Suleiman the Magnificent) and a couple of porcelain bowls are among the artifacts in the auction.
