One killed in clashes in E Turkey

One soldier was killed today during clashes with suspected members of the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) in the eastern province of Hakkari, Doğan news agency reported.
 
The clash occurred in the morning hours when security forces came into contact with PKK militants in a rural area.
 
One soldier was killed, initial reports said.
 
Operations are continuing in the area.
