One special forces policeman was killed and four security officers were wounded during clashes in the southeastern province of Diyarbakır amid attempts to retrieve the kidnapped Justice and Development Party (AKP) provincial head, daily Hürriyet reported today.Security forces have been conducting operations in nearby areas since the kidnapping. Clashes erupted today when security forces made contact with suspected militants of the outlawed Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK).
