Okay Temiz plays at Salon stage
The legendary jazz band founded in Sweden by Okay Temiz is to visit Istanbul’s Salon stage. The group, which took its name from Temiz’s old album “Oriental Wind Project,” recorded its first album in Stockholm in 1977.
The veteran performers will be at Babylon tonight.
Okay Temiz is still pursuing his mission to spread multicultural music to wider audiences through the myriad of experiences he has gained over the years. An album of his recent recordings in the contemporary style, in collaboration with the brilliant Greek guitarist Nicky Skopelitis, and jazz saxophonist and clarinetist Floros Florides, will be released this winter by the American “Be Last World Action” record company.
