Office of Turkey's state-run news agency in Aleppo raided by al-Qaeda

ALEPPO – Anadolu Agency
The office of state-run Anadolu Agency in Aleppo was raided by al-Qaeda-linked group Islamist State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL).

The group has confiscated satellite receivers and technical materials in the office, but Anadolu Agency personnel were not harmed. ISIL kidnapped Turkish reporter Bünyamin Aygün in northern Syria late last year, but he was released later.

At least 25 journalists have been killed in Syria since the conflict began in March 2011 and more than 30 are thought to be missing.
